Off to the Great Library!

I’ve been off line for a week as my family and I have emigrated from the US to Canada to enable me to join the Law Society of Upper Canada in Toronto. I’ve joined the Great Library in Osgoode Hall as the chief librarian, although my position is Manager, Legal Information.

It’s been a  fascinating week or two as we negotiated immigration, customs, home selling and purchasing, new schools, etc.  Talk about bureaucracy and flurries of paper!  I hope to put some more detailed description of these experiences down once I’m more fully settled.

I improve information access and lead information teams. My books on finding information and managing it and practicing law using cloud computing reflect my interest in information management, technology, law practice, and legal research. I've been a library director in Canada and the US, as well as directing the American Bar Association's Legal Technology Resource Center. I speak and write frequently on information, technology, law library, and law practice issues.
