An animal has crossed the snow and climbed up the far river bank. I wonder if it’s the fox, as you can see where the snow was rubbed lower by the animal’s belly. The paw prints are too small to be a rabbit. The snow was so deep that there was probably no better way. I know that, when Argos and I went down off the path, we were clambering through the snow and I nearly went face first into the snow myself.
