We have started heading in to a very wet spring. The plants will love it and I enjoy an afternoon shower, since I’m usually on the way home from work and not worried about having to dry off. The smells that the water raises are deep and earthy. The shower we had today caused much bubbling, both on the river and in puddles on the side of the path. I have never really thought about the physics of the water bubble – is it a hard single rain drop that causes the bubble to appear?
